Our kitchen. I feel like this is a good place to begin. Our kitchen was a mess. The over all bones of this house were good, but the arrangment of the interiors left much to be desired. The house is about 1,400SF. The storage and interior layout was perfect for the era and being that this house is the exact same age as me and built in 1983 tells you it was time for an update.

To make it ours

I created this blog to be a voice for my family and to showcase our DIY renovation of our first home. We are enthusiastic for our new life together and our new home. My name is Lauren. I am a wife, a mom, a believer and a business owner. I am an executive on the Board of Directors for a commercial construction company as well as do accounting, public relations and sales. I am a wife to my husband and co-worker, Bill. I am a mom to two beautiful little girls born in March of 2010 and November of 2013. Bill is an amazing man. He is a Marine, father, carpenter by trade. Currently he is the estimator at our company. Anything he starts he finishes perfectly and gracefully. I've never known someone to be so professional in his trade abilities. Our daughter Calliope is the sweetest thing known to man. She is a huge blessing to our lives. Our newest addition is Ophelia and she is the cutest little baby. We have been so blessed.
